Proposed treatment for a multi-unit camp comprising domestic sewage treatment and filtered RO drinking-water production, subject to source-water testing.
Project Background
The client-supplied design basis comprises four independent containerised units at one camp, including two sewage treatment systems and two RO water-treatment systems. Sewage flows and potable-water demand differ between units. Influent characteristics, discharge criteria, source-water composition, fluoride and microbial limits, operating hours, storage, power and container requirements remain to be confirmed before final process selection.
Our Solution
A modular sewage train is proposed using screening, equalisation, biological treatment, solids separation and disinfection, with MBR selected where clarified effluent quality or footprint is critical and MBBR where simpler operation is preferred. Dewatered sludge would be contained for periodic removal. The supply-water train would use multimedia and cartridge filtration, RO and final disinfection to control dissolved salts and fluoride while limiting microbial exposure. RO concentrate would be collected for controlled disposal or reviewed reuse after characterisation. Final equipment, recovery, disinfection methods and performance criteria would follow confirmation of wastewater composition, raw-water quality, applicable standards, operating conditions and client data.
