Delivered a containerised sewage treatment plant for a Middle East residential development.
Project Background
The client needed a containerised sewage treatment plant for a new residential development serving about 2,000 households and a 5,000 population equivalent. As no design flow was nominated, the design basis was derived from population, including per-capita sewage flow, organic load, biological volume, membrane area and peak-flow factors.
Our Solution
We delivered a containerised membrane bioreactor treatment plant with inlet screening, biological treatment, membrane modules, balancing and auxiliary equipment. Full containerisation suited a site without a civil-works programme, while the design accounted for organic loading, hydraulic variation, membrane operation and power demand.
Process Train
- 1Inlet screening
- 2Anoxic biological treatment
- 3Aerobic biological treatment
- 4Membrane separation
- 5Balancing
- 6Auxiliary dosing and backwash systems
