Packaged Treatment Plant for a Rural Subdivision

Delivered a packaged biological treatment plant for a rural subdivision with no full-time on-site operator.

Project Background

A residential developer needed a packaged biological treatment plant for a rural subdivision, designed around a subdivision peaking factor of about 4, infiltration and inflow, low night flow and operation without a full-time on-site operator. Capacity: ~95 m³/d. Effluent limits were established from the applicable state discharge permit.

Our Solution

We delivered a packaged biological treatment plant with extended aeration and MBR considered against the permit-based limits. The design addressed peak-hour hydraulics, wet-weather infiltration and inflow, surge tolerance and remote operation. Delivery covered design, fabrication, testing, installation, commissioning, performance verification, training and handover.

Process Train

  1. 1Collection network
  2. 2flow equalisation and wet-weather storage
  3. 3biological treatment
  4. 4final separation
  5. 5effluent discharge
