Compare packaged MBBR and MBR options for a compact community sewage treatment plant serving about 140 people.
Project Background
A residential community of ~140 people at 250 L/person/day — ~35 m³/day of domestic sewage — needing a compact packaged station. Influent estimated as typical domestic sewage pending laboratory analysis.
Our Solution
Two options priced side by side: an economical MBBR / contact-oxidation packaged plant, and a compact MBR for reuse-grade effluent.
What We Asked First
The discharge or reuse standard that applies (irrigation reuse changes the disinfection stage), the available footprint, and whether operation will be unattended.
Proposed Process Train
- 1Screening and inlet works
- 2primary settling
- 3biological treatment
- 4secondary clarification
- 5filtration
- 6disinfection
- 7effluent handling
For Similar Projects
For communities under ~50 m³/day the process choice is driven by the reuse question, not by flow — decide what the water is for first.
