Proposed treatment for segregated oily wastewater from tanks, pipelines, drainage areas and domestic flows, subject to client data.
Project Background
The client-supplied design basis is ~250 m³/d for mixed oily process water, wash water, contaminated drainage, bilge-type water, stormwater and domestic sewage. Target parameters include mineral oil, detergents, pH, BOD₅, TOC, turbidity, total phosphorus and total nitrogen. Flow variation, source composition, applicable discharge requirements and the reviewed process drawings remain to be confirmed.
Our Solution
The proposed solution combines source segregation, coarse screening, oil interception, equalisation, controlled pH adjustment, coagulation, dissolved air flotation, anoxic and aerobic biological treatment, membrane bioreactor filtration, conditional polishing and disinfection. This arrangement addresses free oil, emulsified oil, detergents, biodegradable organics, nutrients and suspended solids. Floating oil and separated sludge require bunded collection and licensed disposal, while membrane cleaning waste and any tertiary-treatment concentrate require controlled handling. Final unit selection, tankage, chemical dosing, aeration, membrane configuration, polishing steps and disinfection will be adjusted after source sampling, flow review and assessment of the supplied drawings and applicable requirements.
What We Asked First
Please confirm the design flow basis, operating hours, peak and batch discharges, source segregation, sampling results, discharge destination and applicable standard, together with plot area, power supply, hazardous-area classification and treatment scope.
